Scallops belong to a very large family of several hundred species of mostly colourful and attractive shells.
They are free-swimming and move by flapping their valves together, butterfly-like. The shells can be smooth, ridged or scaly, but all have the characteristic and well known fan shape.
Commonly found in waters stretching from South Eastern USA to Brazil.
Sold in packs of 10 shells. Each shell is a matching pair (front & back) and come in assorted natural colours.
