Data Analysis Software

A major new version of FAMOS, the data analysis software, is now available from Biodata. Running under Microsoft Windows it has over 100 new features and functions, making it even more powerful. These include:

• 4 New filter functions
• 8 New time functions
• Functions can act on several waveforms at once
• Easier-to-use sequence editor
• Up to 150 waveforms can be displayed in one window
• Re-sampling of waveforms at different speeds
• 22 New options for waveform display - such as
  • movable legends and arrows;
  • duplicate windows for several views of one waveform;
  • linked waveforms so when 1 window is scrolled all are scrolled; and
  • dragging and dropping axes and co-ordinate systems between windows
• Saves any number of waveforms and notes in one file
• Automatic searches for characteristics in waveforms
• Runs under Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT

FAMOS is ideal for analysing waveforms that have been collected at high speed (perhaps by Windows software like Streamer or Wavedisk). Data files can be in binary, ASCII or FAMOS format. FAMOS's macro capability is invaluable to scientists and engineers automating analysis of test data.
