Handmade rugs are unique as each piece is made by hand in the villages and towns from where the designs originated many hundreds of years ago producing story telling designs, with many motifs being tribal or having religious significance. These rugs take months to make and with the weaving methods being passed down through the generations. Handmade and flat woven, all having their own characteristics often pin pointing its origin. No two pieces are ever alike, with the individual weaver leaving their own style within the rug.

The ranges are numerous but a couple of the styles are the Bokhara and Ziegler ranges. The Bokhara possessing style and elegance depicting plain and elaborate motif designs especially the well-known 'elephants foot' image. The Ziegler range portrays ancient designs and with more intricate weaving leaving a feeling of Persia in the home.

We stock a varied range of sizes which would suit most homes, the smallest being the 'prayer mat' size but due to the nature of the product this range can be made to your specific requirements.
