Description
Eurovib Inertia Bases are selected as standard to an Inertia Ratio of not less than 1.5:1 (the base mass is not less than 1.5 x the pump mass).
There are several reasons for using an inertia base:
- Give more stability to the systemLower the centre of gravity of the system
- Provide a more even weight distribution
- Minimise the effect of external forces
- Add rigidity to the equipment
- Reduce problems with coupled modes
- Minimise the effects of errors in the position of the centre of gravity of the equipment
- Act as a local sound barrier
