Description
2nd quarter of 20th century, probably 1930s
Original arched brass dial with gilt spandrels, silvered chapter ring and cartouche. Pierced, blue steel hands in the 18th century style
8-day, spring driven movement which plays the Westminster chimes on for gongs and strikes the hours on three gongs. The chimes and the strike can be silenced by lifting the hammrs away from the gongs.
Good quality oak case with glazed door that allows the pendulum to be seen swinging
Height 1 metre 75cm,. This clock is of a good size and colour.
