Writer's Retreat House

Exquisitely detailed and elegantly styled, the Writer's Retreat is a graceful addition to any garden setting. Finished in a subtle stain, the pressure treated, redwood boarding contrasts beautifully with the Buttermilk paintwork, while the stained interior lends the summerhouse a warm, snug feeling.

The upholstered, full-width day bed is a charming place to sit and enjoy the company of friends or, alternatively, to just lie down and rest. Positioned directly beneath the window is the handy writing desk which doubles up as an occasional table and both these drop-down fittings can easily be erected or just folded away at will.

The traditional stable door, casement windows and eaves-height storage shelves are all meticulously styled, along with the black, powder-coated ironmongery, to complement the "Shabby Romantic" styling for this wonderful garden retreat.

The Writers Retreat can also be fitted with a rotating base to create a revolving summerhouse that makes the most of the sun as it moves across the sky. This was a notable feature of George Bernard Shaw's own writing hut and one that he made constant use of.
